So, what is time? To put it simply, time is duration. Our clocks mark change or, more precisely, our timepieces are benchmarks of change that indicate the passage of time. We could say, then, that time is a necessary precondition for change, and change is a sufficient condition to establish the passage of time. In other words, whenever there’s a change of any kind, we know that time has passed. We see this as we go through life and as we age. And we cannot recover the minutes that have passed by.

The Seder Meal - 2023

This is a recording of a Men's event we did before Christmas 2023. The Audio is not our highest quality, but the information is great and we hope it brings you curiosity and symbolic knowledge.
The Seder is the traditional dinner that Jews partake of as part of Passover. The annual Passover commemoration is celebrated by nearly the entire Jewish community, bonding families and communities to their Jewish roots. Each year Jewish people, religious and nonreligious, celebrate the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by gathering and experiencing the Passover Seder.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
The renewal of all things is meant to be your first hope in the way that God is your First Love. If it isn’t the answer to your wildest dreams, if you aren’t ready at this very moment to sell everything and buy this field, then you have placed your hopes somewhere else. Nearly everyone has.
When a precious hope is dashed, it can really break your heart. It may usher in fear and anxiety. You may not recover for a week or five years, depending on the loss and the other resources of your life.
If you put your hope in something that cannot possibly come through for you, you will be constantly let down. It was never meant to play that role. Only God knows the depths of your desires. Only He can come through and meet your needs.
Jesus — rescue my heart and all my dashed hopes. You are the Healer; come and heal every lost hope in me. Resurrect hope, Lord.

The Bible states emphatically in Galatians 5:1 that believers are free in Christ: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” (Galatians 5:1). Before Jesus died on the cross, God’s people lived under a detailed system of laws that served as a moral compass to guide their lives. While powerless to grant salvation or produce true freedom, the Law nevertheless pointed the way to Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:19–24).

Being a child of God is not about being a pseudo-fake-pretend Christian. Being a member of God’s house is not about being a poser. Being a Christian is not about being a Christian in name only. But instead, being a Christian means that you listen to God’s Word. Being a Christian is to be a hearer of Jesus’ Word.

Life will pass us by if we live in constant fear of maintaining our image. How much energy do we use “acting” that could be spent “living”?

God is much more committed to building godly joy and happiness in his children than we are to finding it. One of his ways of doing this is by seeing to it that we walk through enough trouble to make us give up on finding our joy in a trouble-free life. Get to know the passages in the Bible that teach this. Romans 5:3–5

We talked about: https://www.pauseapp.com/
The name of Jesus, who saves His people from their sins, denotes all the power of the mighty Creator Himself. Jesus gives believers the authority to serve, work, and pray in His name when we do so, believing in Jesus’ saving power and desiring God’s will. Jesus, with the authority of the Father, exercised power to save sinners, and His name is the only name we can call on for salvation (Acts 4:12). As adopted sons and daughters into God’s family, Christians experience God’s saving grace through faith in the Person of Jesus. When we call on Him, we participate in His power and find that “the name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10).

Our Triune God knows relationships more than any mortal expert.
When I am more interested in the other person than in presenting myself as interesting when I listen to understand and not just to reply, how many more relationships could I nurture? How many angry altercations could I avoid? How many more people would see the light of Jesus in me?
