What Hills Are Worth Dying For?
Friday Apr 28, 2023
Friday Apr 28, 2023
It’s about finding the right hills to die on:
- First-rank doctrines are those that are essential to the gospel itself.
- Second-rank doctrines are urgent for the health and practice of the church to such a degree that they tend to be the cause of separation at the level of local church, denomination, and/or ministry.
- Third-rank doctrines are important to Christian theology, but not important enough to be the basis for separation.
- Fourth-rank doctrines are unimportant to our gospel witness and ministry collaboration.

Living Life in our Death
Friday Apr 14, 2023
Friday Apr 14, 2023
The resurrection story beats all resurrection stories. There were other people in the Bible raised to life after death. But they’re no longer with us today. Jesus, however, was raised never to die again. He broke the permanence of death. Today, we talk about dying to our flesh and living in light of our impending deaths.

A Biblical Operating Model
Saturday Mar 25, 2023
Saturday Mar 25, 2023
In this episode, we dive into 1 Corinthians 13. As Christians, one of the most difficult challenges we will ever face: loving the unlovable. This chapter from Scripture is about showing Biblical love to everyone, which is hard enough. Still, when you consider that “everyone” includes those who don’t seem to deserve your love, the challenge becomes even more difficult.

Was Jesus an Introvert or Extrovert?
Tuesday Feb 21, 2023
Tuesday Feb 21, 2023
The simple answer: in Jesus, we find the best of every personality type! If you consider yourself an introvert, find the joy that sometimes Jesus came across as an introvert as well. As to the complex answer: A closer look reveals that few of us are fully introverted or entirely extrovert, but to some degree are an ambivert or a mixture of both, so it stands to reason that the God who created us would also reveal Himself as the best of both. Whatever personality you consider yourself, it is a valuable lesson for all of us to recharge, disconnect from the noise around us, engage in quiet and prayer, and refocus our eyes on Jesus before facing whatever is ahead of us.

Mental Time Travel - Part 3 (The Present of Presence)
Friday Feb 03, 2023
Friday Feb 03, 2023
Be Present! What does it mean? Being physically present and accounted for is essential. We live in a world that militates against our being present in the moments of our life. We are bombarded 24/7 with distractions and demands for our presence, primarily through media, social networking websites, and e-communication. We delude ourselves into thinking that we can now be omnipresent with the sophistication of technology because we can multitask—the Present of Presence.
To be present means to, first and foremost, ask God to be present in our lives and to focus on His presence. We must begin there to be fully present in any situation or relationship.
